PAGE spoke at the last Board of Education meeting on how the district needs to improve its handling of incidents of racism and other forms of bias in the schools. Several PAGE members and other parents also spoke individually about their own concerns in this matter. Of course, most community comments related to Covid protocols and the decision on whether or not to manage masks in schools. While this is obviously an urgent concern, our school administration cannot lose sight of the other epidemic that is harming our young people – that of racism and prejudice. PAGE continues to press for justice on this issue.
